What we’ll cover
CityCamp NYC is a community-led unconference where New Yorkers pitch the session topics on the morning of the event and lead the day together. That format is powerful, and it also raises real questions if you’ve never been in the room before.
We’ll spend most of the hour answering yours. A few things we expect to talk through:
- How the unconference format works, from pitch session to The Board
- What makes a strong session pitch, and how to shape yours
- Who shows up, and how to find the people working on what you care about
- What to expect from the space, the day, and the after-party
Who it’s for
Residents, technologists, advocates, public servants, students, designers, organizers, and community leaders. First-time attendees especially. If you’re on the fence about a ticket, this is the session to catch first.
Come with a question, leave with a plan
